What is a multi-purpose stove?

A Multi-purpose furnace refers to a continuous production thermal equipment with multiple furnace beds, also known as a rake furnace or multi-chamber furnace. It is used for incinerating municipal waste, roasting non-ferrous metal mineral powder, light-burning magnesium hydroxide filter cake and natural magnesite mineral powder, etc. Due to reasons such as the complex structure, difficult maintenance and low thermal efficiency of this equipment, it has gradually been replaced by suspension furnaces, boiling furnaces, etc. in the production of magnesia refractory materials.


The working principle of Multi-purpose furnace heat treatment: The furnace body is equipped with multiple layers of furnace beds, which are divided from top to bottom into drying, preheating, calcination and cooling zones. The vertical rotating shaft at the center of the furnace chamber drives the rake arms and rake teeth of each layer of the furnace bed to rotate. The materials are fed in through the feeding holes around the top of the furnace. The discharge ports of each odd-numbered furnace bed inside the furnace are located at the center, while several discharge ports of the even-numbered furnace beds are evenly distributed around the periphery. Due to the different orientations of the odd and even number of rake teeth on the furnace bed, under the flipping and pushing effect of the rake teeth, the materials fall layer by layer from top to bottom in an "S" shape and meet the hot flue gas from the combustion chamber in countercurrent for heat exchange.


The equipment composition of the multi-purpose furnace production line: It is composed of a cylindrical furnace body, a hollow rotating shaft and transmission device, a rake arm and rake teeth, a feeding and discharging device, a flue gas purification device and a re-burning device, etc.


The vacuum multi-purpose furnace takes advantage of the low boiling point of water under low pressure to rapidly heat the heat medium water filled in the sealed furnace body. The heat medium water boils and evaporates into high-temperature water vapor, which condenses on the heat exchange tubes to heat the cold water inside the tubes, achieving the purpose of supplying hot water.


(1) Vacuum negative pressure operation ensures no explosion at all and offers excellent safety.


(2) The successful separation of the high-temperature and high-pressure zones of the stressed steel plate has extended its service life by 2 to 3 times, with a designed service life reaching 30 years.


(3) The overall design is scientific, reasonable and compact, saving 50-70% of the floor space.


(4) Heat exchange takes place inside the machine, with an overall efficiency of over 91%. It can provide 70-80℃ hot water within 2-3 minutes after startup, significantly shortening the preheating period and reducing energy waste.


(5) Fully automatic control, capable of intelligent operation, unmanned operation or remote network control.


(6) It is equipped with a built-in stainless steel heat exchanger, which causes no pollution to the water quality at all.


(7) Compared with the indirect heating form (boiler + external heat exchanger + circulating water pump + materials + installation cost), the installation cost can be saved by more than 30-40%.


(8) High efficiency, fast heating and good heat exchange can save fuel costs by more than 20-30%.
