What is a multi-purpose furnace?
Multi-purpose furnace refers to the continuous production of thermal equipment with multi-layer furnace bed, also known as rake furnace or multi-hearth furnace. It is used for incineration of municipal waste, roasting of non-ferrous metal mineral powder, light burning of magnesium hydroxide filter cake and natural magnesite mineral powder. Due to the complex structure, difficult maintenance and low thermal efficiency of the equipment, it has been gradually replaced by suspension furnaces and boiling furnaces in the production of magnesia refractories.
The working principle of multi-purpose furnace heat treatment: the furnace body is equipped with a multi-layer furnace bed, which is divided into drying, preheating, roasting and cooling belts from top to bottom. The vertical rotating shaft in the center of the furnace drives the rake arm and rake teeth of each layer of the furnace bed to rotate. The material is added through the feeding holes around the top of the furnace, the discharge ports of each odd-numbered furnace bed are located in the center, and several discharge ports of the even-numbered furnace bed are evenly arranged around the furnace. Due to the different orientation of odd and even hearth rake teeth, under the action of turning and pushing the rake teeth, the material falls from the top to the bottom layer in an "S" shape, and meets the hot gas from the combustion chamber countercurrent for heat exchange.
The equipment of multi-purpose furnace production line is composed of cylindrical furnace body, hollow rotating shaft and transmission device, rake arm and rake teeth, feeding and discharging device, flue gas purification device and backfiring device.
The vacuum multi-purpose furnace uses the low boiling point of water at low pressure to quickly heat the heat medium water filled in the sealed furnace body, and the heat medium water boils and evaporates high temperature water steam, and the water steam condenses on the heat exchange tube to heat the cold water in the heat exchange tube to achieve the purpose of supplying hot water.
